About Patty
Patricia (Patty) Crowe-Rubino graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Psychology and English. She obtained her Master's Degree in Social Psychology from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Her first teaching experience was at Hawkeye Community College as an adjunct. In addition, she gained teaching experience at UNI and Iowa Falls. She then spent 10 years teaching at NIACC in Mason City, before returning full-time to teach at Hawkeye.
Her research interests included juvenile delinquency, coping patterns, and resiliency.
Her professional experiences have included working with the Faculty In-Service Committee, Employee Development Committee, MAPS student club, and PTK.
She has engaged in many volunteer activities in the community, including Hawkeye Relay for Life team, Bark for Life (a Relay event), and church committees and festivals.
She enjoys classic car events and all things dog related.
